Telluride has an excellent school system providing K thru 12 education and the 20,000 square foot library located in the heart of town is a popular community meeting spot.
Getting Around This Pedestrian Friendly Town is Easy.
A beautiful ride on the Free, 13 minute gondola connects the Town of Telluride and Mountain Village and offers 360 degree views. The gondola is open 7 days a week from 7 a.m. until midnight. For shuttle service, there is The Galloping Goose, an innovative and eco-friendly shuttle that will take you anywhere you want to go in town.
The Telluride Medical Center services the towns medical needs and provides family and emergency care. It is located in the West end of town while the the Public Safety Department is located near the foot of the mountain.

The town supports two newspapers, a public radio station, a local television station and a multitude of magazine publications so you can stay up on the local politics and current events.
