For over 30 years, the name Telluride has been synonymous with its signature cultural, culinary, scientific, and athletic events. The Telluride Film Festival, Telluride Bluegrass Festival, and Telluride Blues & Brews are known among film and music aficionados for attracting the best filmmakers and musicians from around the world. MountainFilm Festival
May
MountainFilm is a distinctive blend of films, speakers, gallery exhibits, slide presentations, seminars and on-the-street conversations that demonstrate the power of visual arts to instigate change. Nestled within Telluride’s dramatic box canyon, this tribal gathering of legendary mountaineers, filmmakers, photographers, scientists, activists and artists invite you to join them in an event that wishes to inspire and educate.
Telluride Balloon Rally
June
At sunrise, the skies above Town Park fill with colorful hot-air balloons. At sunset, Telluride’s main street is the setting for the annual balloon glow.
Telluride Jazz Celebration
June
The Telluride Jazz Festival is in fact, a “Celebration” of the art, soul, history, and future of an all-American art form. You can enjoy international artists in the intimacy of multiple indoor and outdoor venues. Listen to jazz greats for music in Town Park by day and in intimate bar venues by night.
Wild West Fest

A family oriented festival that celebrates the spirit of the West. Events include celebrity cutting on horseback and musical performances at the Sheridan Opera House.
Telluride Bluegrass Festival
June
Four days of rousing bluegrass-based music in town park. Past artists include Alison Krauss, Earl Scruggs, Bela Fleck, Sam Bush, Yonder Mountain String Band and many more.
Bike Week
A weeklong celebration to promote cycling for transportation and recreation. Events include trail maintenance, group rides, Bike to Work Day, Lizard Head Pass Hill Climb, a film, auction and more.
Telluride Wine Festival
June
Pairing the beauty of the mountains with indulgence of fine wines. This multi-day event features winemakers luncheons, cooking demonstrations, reserve programs, seminars and tastings for novices and experts alike.
Telluride Plein-Air Festival
June & July
National landscape artists paint in the great outdoors. Their work is then exhibited and auctioned as a fundraiser for the Sheridan Arts Foundation.
Fireman’s Fourth of July
July 4
Celebrate independence the old-fashioned way: a parade down Telluride’s main street, a community picnic in Town Park, games for kids and spectacular fireworks!
Red, White, & Blues Concert
Summer
Enjoy free live music, complimentary snow cones, face painting and other free activities at Sunset Plaza in Mountain Village from 3 to 6pm!
Telluride Fur Ball
Bring your dog for an evening of food, music, a silent auction, gourmet dog treats, pet photography and a “Dance with Your Dog” performance by a canine/human freestyle competitive team. Proceeds benefit the Second Chance Humane Society.
Telluride Yoga Festival
July
This first annual event combines the inspiration of the natural surroundings and expertise of both nationally acclaimed and local yoga practitioners. An array of yoga and meditative workshops for all levels, as well as related seminars are offered.
KOTO’s Yankee Doodle Doo-Dah Concert
Come out for a grand time in Telluride Town Park (Gates open at 4 pm) and support our local independent radio station.

The Telluride Cajun Festival offers unique music and a culinary event on Pine Street in the town of Telluride.
Telluride Chamber Music Festival

A free concert in Telluride Town Park, and the dessert concert. Evening concerts at the Sheridan Opera House.

Fungophiles from around the world gather to participate in forays, lectures, dining identification and the mushroom parade.
Telluride Film Festival

Each Labor Day weekend, the tiny mountain village of Telluride, Colorado
triples in size and passionate film enthusiasts flood the town for four days of cinematic magic.
Blues and Brews Festival
September
Telluride Blues and Brews Festival features three days of world-renowned musicians performing live on the famous Telluride Town Park stage, late night jams in the local juke joints, 50 choice microbreweries serving up their handcrafted brews during Saturday”s Grand Tasting, the Rainbow Kids area, free Acoustic Artist Series, Blues for Breakfast, and the Telluride Acoustic Blues Camp.
